Our PhilosophyMy very first DJ experience was for a friend’s wedding in 2010. The couple wanted something simple, but also entertaining so the guests would have a good time. The only other experience I really had as a DJ was putting together a playlist together for my own wedding. Needless to say, I was a little nervous when I arrived with some borrowed speakers that were older than I was and my laptop computer.
What I learned that evening was that being a DJ is so much more than just picking the right songs at the right time. In fact, picking the music may be one of the more simple tasks. A DJ has to keep the wedding reception alive and moving by wearing many different hats. Throughout the wedding and reception, the DJ plays a role as a coordinator, MC, and of course...the DJ. Most importantly, I realized that helping someone make their wedding day special is a great feeling. After that wedding in 2010, I was asked to DJ several more weddings for friends and family over the next few years. After gaining more experience and an appreciation for DJ'ing, I decided to start Blue Lamb Productions. I believe that each event should exceed the expectations of those who have entrusted us with the task to be their DJ. This is accomplished by taking the time to have a conversation. Nearly every wedding has a consultation phone call before booking in order to make sure we can deliver what the bride and groom expect out of their DJ. Prior to the wedding, another conversation takes place in order to get all of the details for the big day ready. All of this happens to help make the reception run as smoothly as possible. Today, Blue Lamb Productions has played over 100 events, including wedding ceremonies and receptions, school dances, anniversary parties, birthday parties, and corporate events. We have added speakers, dance floor lighting and the capability to do remote events with battery-powered speakers. We enjoy playing a part in the important moments, and look forward to the chance to be a part of yours. |
Our ApproachBlue Lamb Productions strives to make your wedding ceremony and reception unique by working with you and meeting your expectations.
We are equipped with speakers that provide more than enough sound for most venues, and a light-bar adds a fun atmosphere for the dance floor. Our wireless microphones make it easy for toasts and other announcements. Wedding ceremonies can be easily accommodated as well, whether it is in same venue, or in a remote location. A battery-powered speaker allows us to provide sound for even the most remote ceremony. Each couple we work with fills out an online survey that allows us to collect music you want to hear. Top 40, Country, Hip Hop, Classic Rock or Oldies, we got it covered. Our music library contains over 13,000 songs, and we can access Spotify through our software. You can be as “hands on” with your music selection as you want to be, or just provide the genres and let us do the work. One thing we guarantee is that all of the special event songs (first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, cake-cutting, etc.) for your big day are purchased through iTunes or Google Play. This ensures they are always available, just in case streaming is not an option. Before the big day, we go through the survey (mentioned above) with you. This time is also used to iron out any details. If you need some suggestions about the order of events during your reception, we would love to share what we’ve learned through our experience. We would be happy to talk to you about your big day and what Blue Lamb Productions can do for you. Thank you very much for contacting us. We look forward to hearing from you!
